About In Thyme Naturopathy

- Diane Dalais

(Founder & Clinical Naturopath)

Healing didn’t come from doing more - it came from slowing down, listening, and learning to meet my body with honesty instead of pressure.

In Thyme Naturopathy: Insights & Wisdom for Women's Wellness

  • As a woman, and as the daughter of immigrants, I understand the quiet complexities women carry when it comes to their health - especially the invisible weight of nervous system overwhelm.

My story, unfortunately, is not uncommon. Pushing through when you’re already at your limit. Living in a state of exhaustion, juggling symptoms you don’t have the time, language, or space to understand, because you’re too busy showing up for everyone else. It can feel like you’re surviving, not truly living. When your nervous system is so dysregulated that you can barely articulate what you need, let alone ask for support.

I have been there. And I’ve watched the women I love and admire live there too.

I grew up witnessing strong women carry everything - silently, selflessly, endlessly. They held families together without complaint, without pause. Putting themselves first rarely crossed their minds. Somewhere along the way, I learned to do the same.

I repeated these patterns, both the ones that built resilience, and the ones that slowly eroded me.

After the birth of my daughter, something shifted. For the first time, I chose to do something for myself. I left my corporate career and enrolled in a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy). But by the final year of my degree, I found myself at my lowest point.

Overwhelmed & anxious - I didn’t feel like myself anymore, I had lost my spark.

  • Turning Point - The Permission I Gave Myself

I reached a crossroads, unbeknownst to me I was at the start of my perimenopause journey.

I knew I couldn’t keep living the same way. I had to get honest about what I wanted to prioritise, and what I was willing to let go of. I began creating space - to meet myself fully. Not just the parts I liked, but the parts I avoided. The imperfect, messy, uncomfortable parts. The parts I had hidden away out of shame.

Slowly, I gave myself permission to be seen, not polished, not perfect, but real.

That’s when things began to shift. I realised the path forward didn’t require perfection. There would be days I didn’t get it “right.” But I could choose consistency. Compassion. Presence.

Today, I hold space for women who are exactly where I once was.

Women 30+ who are exhausted from compromising, shrinking, and putting themselves last. Women who have tried everything for their health, yet nothing seems to stick -  because the work is deeper than food, supplements, or movement alone.

The women I work with don’t need another checklist or protocol.
    They need permission.

    Permission to unravel.
    Permission to feel.
Permission to prioritise themselves without guilt.
Permission to be seen - fully, imperfectly, unapologetically.

That is the work I am here to do.
